Helicopter Connection Unit, with both fixed and portable equipment, provides the necessary voice communication during the helicopter’s landing and take-off from the ship.
The Helicopter Connection Unit:
· Provides access for the helicopter crew to the ship’s internal conference circuit after the helicopter has landed on the ship,
· Allows the Flight Deck Officer to access the conference circuit inside the ship while moving,
· Enables announcements by the Flight Deck Officer to be made on the platform and hangar areas,
· Transmits the announcement made by the Flight Deck Officer to the wireless headset of operators on the deck simultaneously,
· Allows the Flight Deck Officer to transmit external voice communication,
· Provides power of 150 watts at 24 VDC voltage level to externally connected devices,
· Can switch with VOX (voice-operated exchange) circuit on the communication system (MASKI) microphone and helicopter microphone lines.
